A Definition of Personalised Learning.
For the purposes of the research a range of sources of definitions for personalised learning have been explored including:
- the DCSF / 'official' definition.
- the work of David Hargreaves and the SSAT.
- a local authority / CfBT definition.
- a school / department / teacher definition.
Every member of staff, teaching and non-teaching, was invited to complete this simple questionnaire (via email or paper based). Staff were told that individual responses would be anonymous.
1) I have visited the DCSF personalised learning website. Yes/No.
2) I have discussed personalised learning in a (or any) meeting with other staff. Yes/No.
3) I have read information about personalised learning. Yes/No.
4) I understand that personalised learning and the use of UniServity (the school learning platform) might be linked. Yes/No.
Students can choose their own computer mascots.
