Is this what an online lesson looks like
Is this what an online lesson might look like…………
This lesson was created to be used by a cover supervisor / cover teacher in the absence of the full-time teacher, but its design and delivery opens up bigger questions about the use of learning platform technology in the classroom.
Scenario
•A 1 hour lesson taking place in a computer suite.
•28 mixed ability students with a computer ratio of 1:1.
•An ICT lesson. The IT User Certificate (British Computer Society) is the core IT qualification followed in school. It is a modular
course, with 8 individual units making up the full Level 2 qualification. Students are working at different progression rates through
the qualification and being assessed in online tests when they decide they are ready.
•The topic to be covered in this lesson is one from the last unit of work, the Data Protection Act.
•Students will access the IT User Certificate ‘Room’ on the learning platform and complete learning tasks during the lesson.
