Raising the profile of your Learning Platform
Publicising the ways in which you are using your Learning Platform for teaching and learning is important in raising the profile and status of the technology amongst staff, students, parents and the wider community.
At Tideway School we produce a termly parent and student ICT Update. The Learning Platform features prominently in each edition.
The parent ICT Update is designed in Word, converted to a pdf file and uploaded to the school website. It also printed and circulated to parents, local junior and secondary schools and a range of organisations and people in the community e.g. local concillors.
The student ICT update is produced by a Year 9 student and is emailed to all students, as well as being uploaded to the school website. The student edition is not printed and it appears in a format that was designed using Comic Deluxe on an Apple Mac.
