Student eModerators
Student Voice
A small group of Year 10 students have been recruited to train as eModerators on the school Learning Platform.
They recently paid a visit to the London Eye, St Paul's and HMS Belfast.
Using the digital images and recordings they made on the visit they will set up an area on Fronter where they will receive in-depth training.
The student eModerators will be used to support staff who want to learn more about the system, as well as moderate classroom based and out of school activities on it.
Nile, Luke, Tom, Natasha, James, Terrance, Lee and Nigel are all Year 10 students. They have been using the school Learning Platform since Year 9. They volunteered to take part in the student eModerator Project. All are studying the ECDL qualification. Nile completed this in Year 9 and is studying GCSE ICT as part of a self-supported study programme using Fronter. They will begin their detailed Fronter training - how to set up a teaching area, upload and download resources, establish a message forum - by collaborating on an area that describes their experiences on the London visit.
