Embedding Technology in an Extended Learning Project
Year 10 Extended Learning Project.
April 19-20th 2007.
Becoming an independent learner; teaching and learning with Fronter.
The AIMS of the extended learning project are for Year 10 students to become confident independent
e-learners through a 2 day programme of training and project work that will re enforce existing skills and develop new ones.
Students and staff will experience what e-learning might ‘look like’ if the learning platform were embedded in the curriculum.
Programme
THURSDAY
Students will access teaching and learning resources on the school Learning Platform. They will attend a number of workshops.
7-9pm School ICT suites open.
7-7.30 and 8.00-8.30pm Live Chat.
FRIDAY
Students will access tasks from wherever they have use of a PC linked to the Internet - this includes a local business centre which has been booked to provide out of school access to PCs in the community.
SATURDAY
Morning workshops.
Year 11s are supporting Year 10 online access during the project.
